Tropical rainforests are very important to life on Earth. The plants in these forests provide oxygen and take in carbon dioxide. Plants from these rainforests have been used to make medicines, food, and other products like cosmetics. But did you know that less than 7% of the surface of the Earth is covered by these important rainforests? And, each year, we lose some of our rainforests as land is cleared for farming, building, and other human needs.
